Last night i was chatting to my friend over at Texas. He is living in the suburbs of a small town and has earned enough money to buy a house there. While, living in California, is costing me $1200 for my apartment, my friend at Texas is spending $300 per month for food and accommodation. He calls up and asks me to fly there, joining his new apartment.
For a minute i was shaken about the prices of real estate in Texas, quite cheap. I should attribute this to the recession. But why is the recession only in Texas? Why does not the real estate fall sharply in Santa Clara? I wish it does fall a little more, i have been waiting for a long time to buy something in Santa Clara. Still very much breathing in the desert,.. I am not leaving california for now. Not if they give away free homes at Texas. I wished i was in the silicon valley, i ll be there reading the valley wag.
